Kunigami sent one more text that he'd meet him there in about half an hour. It doesn't take him long to get situated and so he actually ends up at the joint a little early and leans against the building as he waits on Kagami to show up. He doesn't figure him for the kind of guy that would get somewhere super early even for food.

He... actually would get somewhere super early, though usually just due to excitement over basketball. And food. Not as much as basketball, but it's been known to work. Luckily Kagami's late due to putting Kunigami's pants through the dryer. He washed them by hand to at least speed up that process. So when he arrives, he's got the other athlete's pants folded, covered, and rested in a bag over his shoulder. Lifts a hand upon seeing him. "Hey."

Kunigami's smile brightens when he sees Kagami coming up and he waves in a friendly greeting. "Hey," he says and pushes off the wall ready to get some food and happy to have his pants back honestly. That they had been left in a random place, though, leaves a lot of questions about the last night but he's good with not asking those anytime soon.

Kagami picks up his pace slightly, jogging the short distance between him and Kunigami. "Got your pants." And swings the bag off his shoulder to give it to him. Good as new. Or at least as clean. He had his own questions about why they were in his bed, but has a feeling it could've been an accidental swap or mistaken pickup in the locker rooms or laundry. Who knows. They're both pretty strong young men. "Been waiting long?"

Kunigami shakes his head and heads to the entrance of the restaurant as he takes his pants and stuffs them into his own bag. "Thanks," he says as he opens the door and lets Kagami walk in first.

"Didn't wait long at all honestly."

Kagami follows him, rest a hand in his pocket and the other left to dangle at his side. "No problem." He felt good about getting the clothes back to their owner. Certainly had checked around his apartment to make sure nothing else had been left behind. Unless something was very well hidden away, it's clear. "Good. I know you've got practice as well." Later, of course.

Kunigami comes in behind as they got into the restaurant and the scent of burgers is definitely the first thing he catches and he glances around for a good table to settle at.

"Yeah. At least it's not for a while still," Long enough for the food to settle before he's moving around.

"Good. Then we can get something big." Aaand now his stomach is crunching at the scent of hamburgers. What a weakness. Kagami follows Kunigami to the table he chooses, oblivious to a number of people perking up and glancing towards these two large muscular athletes that just walked in. Look, with the hair and appearance, it's not exactly "common Japanese crowd" over there at Table 7.

Kunigami doesn't pay other people much mind as he sits down, stretching his legs a bit and he's feeling the hunger starting to really press into the forefront of his mind now as well.

"Are we going to be reasonable or are we making this a competition?"

Kagami takes a seat across from him, resting his forearms on the table for a moment before grabbing the menus off the stand. He passes one to Kunigami and scans over the one in his own hand. The comment about a competition gets a quirked brow and Kagami grins at him from around the menu.

"Depends on what you wanna do after this."

“I do have to practice later,” Kunigami answers thoughtfully as he accepts the menu and starts scanning it. “You?”

"Better not compete then." He doesn't want either of them to end up cramping when they start practicing. Not that he's ever had that problem; Kagami's a beast when he eats.

“That’s the responsible idea,” Kunigami agrees even if food competitions can be fun, he’d almost certainly lose to Kagami and the benefits just don’t outweigh the cons this time around. “But we should another time, yeah?”

This is the guy that finished off a ton of steaks his entire basketball team couldn't get through. And usually walks out with a literal pile of burgers on his tray. What? He likes his food. And burns it off like a monster.

"Hell yeah! I'll take you on whenever you're good for it!"

It’ll be fun to watch him go at it even if he ends up losing when they do compete. He won’t mind losing that one kind of thing. “Yeah, we’ll plan a head. For now I think a burger and a shake is gonna do me just fine.”

Kagami wouldn't want Kunigami to give himself any kind of problem trying to outdo him in an eating competition. Still, if the other guy wanted to, who's he to turn him down if it all checks out?

"Sounds good." Kagami looks at the little computer screen on the side and drags it over. Takes a few seconds to figure out how to work it, but soon he's got the menu up and is keying in his order while muttering to himself. "Two double steakburgers, a cheeseburger, a burger royal, a fried fish sandwich, tuna salad, large fries, no- two large fries, huh they have curly fries - one, a vanilla shake, and a water."

Then swivels the screen to Kunigami with a grin. "Done! Whaddya want?"

"How do you eat that much..."

Kunigami decides to accept the loss and orders a relatively normal order of two cheeseburgers, curly fries and a shake.

"You're definitely winning the day, today.

"Huh?" Kagami glances up at the question and comment combo.

"I didn't win. This wasn't a competition, remember?" They decided to hold off on it due to practice.

That or he completely whiffed Kunigami's sarcasm.

Kunigami just laughs and shakes his head. "I remember, I'm just realizing I'd have no chance," he says, he doesn't know how Kagami isn't going to explode eating all of that.

"Is it really that much?" Says the guy who just ordered like four meals for himself. Kagami never really realizes the amount he's eating. Just that he's got food and it's good. The rest of his team doesn't know either (though it's saved their butts at one time...) but at least Kagami's also an excellent cook. "Mah, we can always compete at something else."

"Yeah, it's definitely that much," Kunigami laughs, stretching his arms above his head briefly now that their orders are in and it's just time to wait for all that food to come out.

"Hm, what do you think we might have an even playing field on? Running?"

Kunigami likes to play fair.

"Huh." Kagami looks at the order, but doesn't actually do anything to take it back. Too late to even if he wanted to. Which he doesn't. He leaves it alone and looks back to Kunigami, taking a moment to admire the pull of his triceps when he stretches his arms like that.

"Running, swimming, bowling?" Maybe even picking one of those parks that have different exercise stations and treating it like a time / amount course.

"Oh, bowling could be fun," Kunigami grins and settles his arms down against the table. "I don't think I've been bowling in years now... I used to go with my sisters a lot."

[ Kunigami heads to the cafeteria. He gets steaks, some side dishes along with the staple of rice. He also snags them both two waters — just in case they need extra hydration. ]

[ He calls as he manages to open up the door into the monitor room with his arms full of all the goods. He might not have escaped the notice of others. ]

[Grabbing two entire steaks was not exactly subtle, nor was being conspicuously absent from mealtime, but Chigiri didn't really care who noticed what-- so long as Igagura didn't bark too loudly about it, that was. When he heard Kunigami's voice, he'd bend at the waist to peer from the other side of the opening door-- before giving a soft breath of a laugh at everything the poor guy was carrying, and opening it the rest of the way for him to let him inside, holding it by the frame.]

Chigiri couldn't even manage to feel embarrassed that he couldn't help it, that's how giddy he apparently was with how their idiotic text thread had gone, it's formalized conclusion, and now seeing Kunigami in the flesh, balancing side-dishes and ginning just as stupidly. He'd shrug all the same. So what if it was overboard?

[ Kunigami lifts a shoulder helplessly. He really couldn't be all that sorry that he had gone overboard and they were going to enjoy the food and this... he's just really, really happy. He'd never really expected the kind of blatant stupidity he'd showed a bit earlier would pay off this way. But he's okay that he'd made a bit of a fool of himself.

He allows Chigiri to help him with the items because it would be a total waste if they all got ruined after all. ]
